ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how common exclusive breastfeeding is right from the birth of a baby at Martigues Hospital. Exclusive breastfeeding means the baby receives only breast milk, with no other foods or liquids. The study aims to understand how many mothers start breastfeeding exclusively and what factors might influence this choice.
Women who are 18 years or older, have given birth to a healthy baby (or babies), and who are exclusively breastfeeding from the start may be eligible to join. Participants need to speak and understand French and agree to take part in the study. The trial is currently recruiting mothers who meet these criteria. If a mother decides not to breastfeed exclusively during her hospital stay or plans to switch to formula feeding after leaving the hospital, she would not be included in follow-up parts of the study. Taking part involves sharing information about breastfeeding habits, which will help healthcare providers better support new mothers in the future.
