ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying two different ways to give spinal anesthesia, which is a type of numbing medicine used during orthopedic surgeries (surgeries involving bones or joints). The researchers want to see which method, guided by ultrasound imaging, requires fewer attempts to successfully place the needle in the right spot near the spine. This could help make the procedure quicker and more comfortable for patients.

Adults between 18 and 50 years old who are scheduled for orthopedic surgery and are generally healthy (with a normal body weight and no serious health issues) may be eligible to participate. People with certain conditions like previous back surgery, infections, or blood problems won’t be able to join. If you take part, you can expect the anesthesia to be done using ultrasound to guide the needle, and the team will record how many tries it takes to get it right. This study is still recruiting participants, and its goal is to find the safest and most effective way to give spinal anesthesia during surgery.
