ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the ICOPE INTENSE-K Pilot Study, is exploring a new way to help older adults stay healthy as they age. The study focuses on a special care program designed to slow down common problems that come with aging, like weaker immune systems, trouble moving around, and mild memory issues. The goal is to see if this program can help keep people independent and improve their quality of life without using medications.
To take part, participants need to be adults who live on their own but have some difficulty with movement, spend a lot of time sitting or lying down, and show early signs of memory problems based on simple tests. They should also have a body weight that’s at least a little above average. People with serious heart problems, advanced dementia, recent significant weight loss, or those living in nursing homes won’t be able to join. If eligible, participants will take part in the program about three times a week for two months, which includes activities and support aimed at improving their health and mobility. This study is not yet open for enrollment but aims to set a new standard for healthy aging in the future.
