ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether a program called Digital Storytelling (DST) can help young survivors of childhood cancer feel less depressed, improve their self-esteem, and enjoy a better quality of life. The program involves small group workshops where participants share and create digital stories about their experiences. These workshops are led by trained professionals and happen four times, each lasting about two and a half hours. Parents do not need to join the workshops but can wait nearby and will receive helpful information about managing depression.
Teens between 13 and 18 years old who have finished their cancer treatment, can speak Cantonese, and read Chinese may be eligible to join. Those with certain mental health issues recorded in their medical history cannot take part. If you join the study, you might be placed in the group that attends the workshops or in a group that receives usual medical care without the workshops. Everyone will continue to get regular medical check-ups, and parents will get materials to support mental health. This study is currently looking for participants and aims to see if DST can make a positive difference in the lives of young cancer survivors.
