ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying new ways to measure blood flow and pressure in the arteries of the legs to better understand and treat Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), a condition that causes poor blood flow and can lead to pain or serious limb problems. Doctors usually use special measurements called Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) and Vascular Flow Reserve (VFR) to check heart arteries, but this study is testing how well these measurements work for arteries in the legs. The goal is to see if these tests can help doctors decide the best treatments and predict how well patients will do right after and long after the procedure.
People who might be eligible for this study are adults with symptoms of PAD, like leg pain when walking (intermittent claudication) or more severe problems called critical limb ischemia, confirmed by imaging tests showing narrowing or blockage in certain leg arteries. If you have other artery problems in different areas, sudden severe limb issues, or certain health conditions that make procedures unsafe, you may not qualify. Participants will undergo tests during their usual artery treatment to help doctors measure blood flow and pressure. This study is currently recruiting, and if you join, your care team will use this information to better understand your condition and improve treatment decisions.
