ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to care for premature babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) called “clustered care.” Clustered care means grouping routine medical and nursing tasks together in one time period so the baby is handled less often. This helps the baby rest better and keeps their natural sleep and wake cycles more stable. The study aims to create clear guidelines for nurses on how to provide this kind of care and then see if it helps improve the babies’ comfort and health.
The study will involve nurses working in the NICUs at Necmettin Erbakan University Hospital in Turkey. To join, nurses need to have at least three months of NICU experience and agree to participate. Nurses in the study will be divided into two groups: one will receive special training on clustered care through two short sessions, and the other will continue with their usual care practices. The researchers will collect information before and after the training to see if the new approach makes a difference. Nurses and parents will give their permission before joining, and the study has been reviewed and approved by an ethics committee to ensure safety and respect for everyone involved.
