ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how to better understand and diagnose pulmonary hypertension—a condition where blood pressure is too high in the lungs—in people who have chronic kidney disease (CKD). The researchers want to confirm the diagnosis using a special test called right heart catheterization (RHC), which measures blood flow and pressure in the heart and lungs. This helps doctors see how severe the condition is and whether it is caused by problems before or after the small blood vessels in the lungs.
The trial is open to adults aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and are suspected to have pulmonary hypertension based on symptoms or an initial heart ultrasound. People with other lung diseases, bleeding problems, sudden kidney failure, or other types of pulmonary hypertension will not be included. If you join, you can expect to undergo detailed tests to better assess your heart and lung health. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to improve how doctors identify and treat pulmonary hypertension in those with kidney disease.
