ClinConnect Summary
This study is looking at the best ways to involve patients and study teams in a larger research project called PRECIDENTD, which is focused on preventing serious health problems like heart attacks, strokes, and kidney disease in people with type 2 diabetes. Specifically, this smaller study is testing if a flexible, team-based approach called “agile engagement” helps improve how well patients and study sites work together, compared to the usual way of involving people. The hope is that using agile methods will lead to better results in the main study, such as more people joining, sticking with their medication, and staying in the study longer, as well as a better experience for everyone involved.
People who can take part in this engagement study include members of the PRECIDENTD patient advisory group, study staff, and investigators (research leaders) at the study sites. Participants won’t be taking new medications or treatments; instead, they will be part of efforts to improve communication and teamwork during the study. This study is not yet recruiting participants but aims to learn if working together more closely and flexibly can help make research stronger and more meaningful for patients and researchers alike.
