ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether using virtual reality (VR) videos of beautiful natural places in Brazil can help reduce chronic pain for cancer patients who are in the hospital. Instead of relying only on medicines, the trial wants to see if this kind of “nature experience” through VR can provide both pain relief and emotional comfort.
Adults with cancer who are experiencing ongoing pain and are able to communicate clearly may be eligible to join. Participants will wear a VR headset that shows immersive nature scenes for about 8 minutes. Patients who cannot wear the headset, have vision problems, or are undergoing other similar treatments won’t be able to take part. The study is not yet recruiting, but if you or a loved one is interested, it’s important to know this approach aims to offer a simple, non-drug way to help manage pain during cancer care.
