ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new, non-invasive way to estimate the pressure inside the skull, called intracranial pressure (ICP). Normally, measuring this pressure requires invasive procedures that can be uncomfortable and carry some risks. This study looks at whether measuring the pressure in a small vein near the eye can give similar information without the need for these invasive methods. The goal is to see if this easier and safer approach can help doctors better monitor patients with conditions affecting brain pressure.

People who might be eligible for this study are adults aged 18 to 95 who need routine testing of their spinal fluid pressure as part of their medical care. Participants should not have recent brain injuries, certain surgeries, or conditions affecting the area around the eye. If they join, participants will have their eye vein pressure measured and this will be compared to the usual spinal fluid pressure tests they are already having. This study could help make monitoring brain pressure safer and more comfortable in the future.
