ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether a special dental material called Enamel Matrix Derivatives (EMD) can help make the gum tissue around dental implants thicker and healthier. EMD is already known to help thicken gums around natural teeth, and this study wants to see if it works the same way around implants. This could be important because thicker gum tissue can protect implants better and improve overall dental health.
People who might be eligible to join are adults between 18 and 89 years old who need a second surgery to uncover their dental implant, whether it’s in the upper or lower jaw. Participants should be able to understand the study and agree to take part, have reliable transportation to attend all visits, and not have certain conditions like pregnancy, allergies to EMD, or use of blood-thinning medications. If you join, you can expect to receive treatment that includes EMD around your implant, and the researchers will check how your gum tissue responds over time. This study is not yet open for participants but aims to help improve care for people with dental implants in the future.
