ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to help people with gum disease heal better after dental surgery. Normally, dentists use special glasses called dental loupes that magnify, or make things look bigger, to help them work more precisely. This study wants to find out if using a microscope, which provides even stronger magnification, can improve healing more than the usual dental loupes.
If you are between 18 and 89 years old, need surgery for gum disease, and are generally healthy, you might be eligible to join. Participants must be able to understand the study and agree to take part, have reliable transportation for all visits, and be able to communicate in English. People who are pregnant, have poorly controlled diabetes, or need other types of dental surgery are not eligible. If you join, you can expect to receive one of the two types of magnification during your gum surgery, and the researchers will check how well your gums heal afterward. This study is not yet recruiting participants but aims to find better ways to care for gum disease in the future.
