ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the levels of a natural substance in the blood called catestatin in people who have moderate to severe acne, a common skin condition that causes pimples and inflammation. Researchers want to understand if catestatin plays a role in acne, which affects many teenagers and young adults.
People who are generally healthy and have moderate to severe acne may be able to join the study. However, pregnant or breastfeeding women, those with certain health problems like liver or heart disease, or anyone who has recently used specific acne treatments cannot participate. If you join, you can expect to have your blood tested to measure catestatin levels. This study is currently looking for participants and includes both men and women. If you or a family member have acne and are interested, this trial might help provide new insights into how acne works and possibly lead to better treatments in the future.
