ClinConnect Summary
This study is looking at how adding fresh meat and vegetable recipes, along with helpful nutrition advice, can affect the diets of healthy young children aged 2 to 3.5 years old. The goal is to see if these changes can improve what toddlers eat compared to a standard diet that follows general healthy eating guidelines used in Ireland. The researchers want to find out if giving parents tailored support and recipes helps children eat a more balanced and sustainable diet.
Families with children between 24 and 42 months who are generally healthy and eat a regular diet (not vegetarian or vegan) may be eligible to join. If you take part, your child would eat some of the special recipes at least three times a week for 12 weeks. You would also fill out some simple questionnaires about your child’s nutrition and feeding habits. Two visits to the study center—one at the start and one at the end—will be needed. This study will help researchers understand if personalized advice and recipe ideas can make a positive difference in young children’s eating habits.
