ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how surgery affects people with tumors located near the spinal cord, called juxtamedullary tumors. The main goal is to understand how well surgery removes these tumors and how it impacts patients’ ability to function and their overall quality of life afterward. Researchers also want to find out which surgical methods and factors lead to better results, such as less pain and fewer complications. They will look at things like different surgical techniques, how careful monitoring during surgery affects outcomes, and whether resting in bed after surgery helps prevent fluid leaks. The study will also track important recovery measures like hospital stay length, chances of needing to return to the hospital, or needing more surgery.
Adults aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with certain spinal tumors near the spinal cord may be eligible to join, as long as they can understand the study and give permission to participate. People with certain types of bone tumors or cancer that has spread to the spine are not eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect careful monitoring of your surgery and recovery, with a focus on improving how patients feel and function after tumor removal. This study is currently looking for participants from all genders and age groups above 18.
