ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at whether doing extra, intensive arm and hand training soon after a stroke can help people recover better movement in their upper limbs. Stroke often causes weakness or paralysis on one side of the body, making it hard to do everyday tasks. The study wants to see if a higher amount of focused therapy in the first few weeks after a stroke improves recovery more than usual care.
Adults who have had a stroke within the last 1 to 6 weeks and have some movement in their shoulder and fingers may be eligible to join. Participants will take part in additional training using special technology for about 2 hours a day, 5 days a week, over 4 weeks. The researchers will check progress before and after the training, and again 6 months later, to see how well the arm and hand recover. This study could help improve rehabilitation methods and give stroke survivors a better chance to regain arm function.
