ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying different methods used to clean the inside of a tooth during root canal treatment, specifically focusing on how well these methods reduce bacteria. The researchers will compare several techniques, including using sound waves (ultrasound), a special flexible file (XP-endo Finisher), and a laser combined with a special dye, against the traditional manual cleaning method. The goal is to find out which method is best at removing germs to help improve the success of root canal treatments.
People who might be eligible to join this study are those needing root canal treatment on a single-rooted tooth that is either alive or dead but has a healthy surrounding gum and bone. The tooth should have a similar size opening at the tip of the root. The study will not include teeth with unusual shapes, patients who need a repeat root canal treatment, or pregnant women. If you participate, you can expect to have your root canal cleaned using one of these methods, and the researchers will check how well the bacteria are removed. This study has not started recruiting patients yet but aims to help improve root canal outcomes in the future.
