ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different types of information affect patients’ feelings when they undergo uroflowmetry, a simple and painless test that measures how well you pee. Even though the test is easy and doesn’t involve any needles or surgery, it can still make some people feel anxious or unhappy, mostly because they don’t fully understand what will happen. This study compares two ways of giving information: one group will get clear, written instructions in a brochure, while the other group will receive verbal explanations from a healthcare provider. The researchers want to see which method helps reduce anxiety and makes patients feel more satisfied with their experience.
If you are 18 years or older, about to have uroflowmetry for the first time, and can understand either English or Urdu, you may be able to join this study. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two information groups, and their anxiety and satisfaction will be measured with simple questionnaires. It’s important that you have no serious mental health issues or problems understanding instructions, and that you are able to urinate enough during the test. This study is currently looking for volunteers and could help improve how patients feel during this common urinary test.
