ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on developing a new tool to help doctors make better decisions before and after liver surgery, especially for people with liver cancer or chronic liver disease like cirrhosis. The study will use detailed images from CT scans (a type of X-ray) along with patient health information to create computer models using artificial intelligence (AI). These models aim to assess how well the liver is working, check the severity of liver damage, and predict if the cancer has spread to tiny blood vessels, which can affect treatment plans.
Patients who are 18 to 75 years old with liver cancer or other liver problems and are planning to have surgery may be eligible to join. Those who agree to participate will have CT scans taken and provide health information to build a high-quality image database. The study is not yet recruiting participants. People who are pregnant, have poor kidney function, or are allergic to contrast dye used in scans cannot join. This trial hopes to create helpful tools that could improve care and safety for future patients undergoing liver surgery.
