ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying whether collecting a second sperm sample right after the first one can improve the chances of fertilization and healthy embryo development during a fertility treatment called ICSI, which is used when male infertility is a factor. The researchers want to see if this second sample has as many or more moving sperm and if using it leads to better results, like more fertilized eggs, higher quality embryos, and increased chances of pregnancy.

Men between 25 and 45 years old who have abnormal sperm according to standard tests may be eligible to join, as long as their female partners don’t have certain conditions affecting egg quality, such as polycystic ovary syndrome, low egg supply, or endometriosis. Participants can expect to provide two sperm samples in one cycle to compare results, and the study will look at how this affects fertilization and embryo development. This trial could help improve fertility treatments for couples facing male infertility.
