ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how two different physical therapy programs affect the quality of life and sleep in people with Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD), which are problems affecting the jaw joint and muscles around the face. The goal is to see which therapy might help improve daily comfort and overall well-being for those living with this condition.
People who may be eligible to join are adults between 18 and 65 years old who have a recent diagnosis of TMD, confirmed by specific medical guidelines. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two therapy programs and followed over time to see how each treatment works. It’s important to know that people with certain health issues, like neurological diseases, inflammatory joint problems, serious psychiatric conditions, past surgeries or injuries to the jaw or neck area, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, will not be able to join. If you qualify and take part, you can expect to receive one of the two therapy treatments aimed at improving jaw function and sleep quality, with healthcare professionals monitoring your progress throughout the study.
