ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called the National Childhood Obesity Prevention Programme BE FIT 24, is focused on finding better ways to identify and prevent overweight and obesity in children aged 6 to 11 years in the Czech Republic. The study aims to test new methods for early detection of children who are at risk of becoming obese and to see how well these methods can be used in everyday healthcare settings.
Children who have a body weight that is higher than most of their peers—specifically, those whose body mass index (BMI) falls between the 90th and 97th percentile—may be eligible to join. To participate, parents or guardians need to give their permission. Children who have other ongoing health conditions that require regular medication are not included. If chosen, participants will be part of a program that helps monitor their weight and supports healthy habits to prevent obesity, with the goal of improving children’s long-term health through early action.
