ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether a type of computer technology called artificial intelligence (AI) can help find heart problems early by looking at a common heart test called an electrocardiogram (ECG). The ECG records the heart’s electrical activity and can be done using standard machines or even wearable devices like smartwatches. The researchers want to see if AI can accurately detect conditions such as heart valve issues, high blood pressure in the lungs, and different types of heart failure before these problems are formally diagnosed. This could offer a simple, low-cost, and non-invasive way to check heart health and possibly catch issues sooner.
Adults aged 18 to 90 who do not already have a diagnosis of heart failure, lung-related high blood pressure, or valve disease may be eligible to join. Participants will provide ECG recordings, which the AI will analyze to see if it correctly identifies any hidden heart problems. Importantly, the AI results won’t be used to guide treatment during the study and won’t be shared with doctors, so care won’t be affected. This trial is about testing how well the AI works in a real-world setting, with the hope it could help improve early detection of heart disease in the future.
