ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how the length of time a person has symptoms affects the results of lumbar spine surgery, which is surgery on the lower back. The goal is to understand whether having symptoms like back pain, leg pain, weakness, or problems with bladder or bowel control for a longer or shorter time changes how well the surgery works.
Adults aged 18 and older who are scheduled to have lumbar spine surgery might be eligible to join this study. To participate, patients should have symptoms such as lower back pain, leg pain caused by nerve issues, or difficulty walking due to nerve problems. People who have had previous spine surgery, certain other medical conditions, or who are not healthy enough for general anesthesia will not be able to join. If you take part, the doctors will track your symptoms before and after surgery to see how the length of your symptoms influences your recovery and overall outcome. This study has not started recruiting participants yet.
