ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how education about using a small, portable device called an elastomeric pump affects the comfort and anxiety of cancer patients receiving a chemotherapy drug called 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU). These pumps allow patients to get their treatment continuously at home instead of staying in the hospital. The study aims to find out if giving patients extra training about how to use the pump helps them feel more comfortable and less anxious during their treatment compared to the usual information they receive.
People eligible for this study are adults diagnosed with cancer who can read and understand Turkish, are medically able to take part, and agree to join the study. They cannot have psychiatric conditions or communication difficulties. Participants will be randomly split into two groups: one will receive a 15-20 minute training session with clear explanations and visual guides about using the pump, while the other will get the standard care without extra training. Everyone will complete simple questionnaires about their comfort and anxiety levels before starting and again one month later. This study hopes to show that better education can improve the overall experience of chemotherapy at home.
