ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether a therapy called "therapeutic touch" can help reduce stress and improve comfort for people receiving hemodialysis treatment. Hemodialysis is a way to clean the blood for those whose kidneys aren’t working well. Because this treatment can be tiring and affect daily life, the study wants to see if gently touching specific energy points on the body can make patients feel more relaxed and comfortable.
People who have been on hemodialysis for at least three months, are able to understand and communicate, and agree to join the study may be eligible. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will receive the therapeutic touch sessions lasting about 15 to 30 minutes every three days, while the other will continue their usual treatment without this additional therapy. Everyone’s stress and comfort levels will be measured before and after the treatment period to see if there are any changes. The study will take place at Fırat University Hospital and aims to include at least 60 patients. If you’re undergoing hemodialysis and interested in non-medication ways to feel better during treatment, this study might be an option to consider.
