ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to take pictures of the heart using a faster type of MRI scan combined with advanced computer technology called deep learning. The goal is to see if this quicker method can accurately measure how well the heart’s left ventricle (the main pumping chamber) is working, compared to the standard MRI scans. This is important for people with a condition called left ventricular hypertrophy, where the heart muscle becomes thicker, often due to high blood pressure or other heart problems. The new method could make the scan shorter and easier, especially for older patients or those who have trouble holding their breath during the test.
People who might join the study are adults (18 years and older) who need a heart MRI to check or follow up on thickened heart muscle. To participate, they must be able to understand the study and give consent, and be covered by social security. Some people won’t be able to join, such as those who are very overweight, pregnant or breastfeeding, have certain allergies, claustrophobia, heart rhythm problems, or cannot hold their breath for at least 10 seconds. If you take part, you can expect to have a heart MRI scan using this faster technique, which might be more comfortable and quicker than usual. This study is not yet recruiting participants but aims to improve heart imaging for patients like you.
