ClinConnect Summary

This study is looking at two different treatment methods—called the Spencer Muscle Energy Technique and Post Facilitation Stretch—to see which one works better to reduce shoulder pain in fast bowlers. Fast bowlers are athletes who bowl quickly in cricket, and they often experience shoulder stiffness and pain. The study will include 32 fast bowlers between the ages of 18 and 35 who have had shoulder pain and stiffness for at least three months. Before and after the treatments, the researchers will check how much pain the participants feel, how well their shoulder moves, and how well they can use their shoulder in daily activities.

If you join the study, you will receive one of the two treatments three times a week for four weeks. Both males and females who meet the age and condition requirements and are willing to take part can join, but people with serious shoulder injuries or other health issues like arthritis or nerve problems in the shoulder won’t be eligible. This study is not yet open for participants, but it aims to find which treatment can better help fast bowlers recover from shoulder pain and improve their shoulder movement and function.
