ClinConnect Summary
This study is looking at how the home environment affects babies’ development, especially those who might be at risk for developmental delays. Researchers want to find out if babies who are considered "developmentally at risk" have different home surroundings compared to babies who are developing typically. They will also explore how the home environment relates to babies’ motor skills (like moving and coordination) and sensory processing (how they respond to sights, sounds, and touch).
Babies between 7 and 18 months old can take part if their parents agree. The study is open to all babies in this age range, including those identified as developmentally at risk and those developing typically. Babies who are currently very sick or in the hospital won’t be able to join. Participants can expect assessments that look at their home environment and how they are developing movement and sensory skills. This research may help better understand how families can support babies' growth, especially for those who need extra help early on.
