ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a digital program called RICORDO designed to help improve thinking skills and memory in people who have mild memory problems, mild cognitive impairment (which means some difficulties with thinking but not dementia), or early-stage Alzheimer’s disease. The researchers want to see if using this flexible, computer-based program can help improve overall brain function and encourage participants to take a more active role in managing their own health. They will compare RICORDO to the usual care, which involves traditional paper-and-pencil exercises.
To be eligible, participants need to be 65 or older, have mild memory or thinking difficulties based on specific tests, have finished at least three years of school, and have a caregiver or someone to support them. Participants should not be in another rehabilitation program and should have stable medication if they are taking memory-related drugs. The program lasts five weeks, with three 45-minute sessions each week, and can be done at home. Before starting, right after finishing, and six months later, participants will have memory and thinking tests to see how well the program worked. This study is not yet recruiting participants.
