ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a medical procedure called direct cholangiopancreatoscopy, which allows doctors to look directly inside the bile and pancreatic ducts using a thin, flexible camera. These ducts carry important fluids that help with digestion. This technique is being explored as a way to better diagnose and treat certain conditions like blockages, stones, or cancers in these ducts, especially when traditional tests don’t give clear answers. The trial aims to see how well this procedure works, how safe it is, and whether it might save money by helping patients get the right treatment sooner.
People eligible to join this study are adults over 18 who are scheduled to have this procedure at participating hospitals starting June 2025 and who agree to take part by signing a consent form. If you join, doctors will use the direct camera method during your care and collect information about the experience to understand its benefits and risks better. This study is not yet open for recruitment but will help doctors decide the best time to use this technique to improve patient care.
