ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a medication called rupatadine to see if it can help people with ulcerative colitis (UC), a long-term condition that causes inflammation and sores in the large intestine. While there are treatments available to manage UC, doctors are still looking for better ways to control the inflammation and symptoms since there is no cure yet. This study aims to explore whether rupatadine can be a safe and effective option for people with mild to moderate UC.
Adults aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with mild or moderate UC through specific tests may be eligible to join the trial. Both men and women can participate, but pregnant or breastfeeding women, people with severe UC, those currently using certain strong medications like steroids or biologic therapies, and individuals with colorectal cancer or certain allergies will not be able to join. Participants in the study can expect to receive the study medication and regular check-ups to monitor their health and the effects of the treatment. It’s important to know that this trial is not yet recruiting participants, so if you or a loved one are interested, it may be helpful to stay in touch with your healthcare provider for updates.
