ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is testing a new way to help teenagers and young adults with chronic health conditions remember to take their medications regularly. The study focuses on using a mobile phone program that adapts the type and amount of support it gives based on each person’s needs, compared to standard automated text message reminders. Researchers want to find out how to design this support system so it works best for young people and if personalized messages can help improve medication-taking habits more effectively than regular reminders.
To join the study, participants must be between 15 and 20 years old, be patients at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, take at least one daily oral medication for a chronic health condition, speak English, have a cell phone, and be able to understand and agree to take part in the study. If eligible, participants will use the mobile program and receive support messages, with the goal of making it easier to stick to their medication routine. This study is not yet recruiting, but it aims to develop helpful tools tailored to young people’s needs to support their health.
