ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new set of technologies called SALSA, designed to help adults with mental, social, or physical disabilities live more independently and safely in shared apartments. These technologies include things like smart lighting and wearable devices that monitor movements and the environment, such as temperature and air quality. The goal is to see if these tools can support residents in reaching personal goals and make daily life easier while also helping caregivers by reducing their workload.
Adults over 18 years old who have mental, social, or motor disabilities and live in shared housing at Cascina Biblioteca in Milan may be eligible to join the study. Participants will have the SALSA technologies installed in their homes, and their progress will be tracked over 60 days. The study will check how well residents meet their individual goals and how easy the systems are for caregivers to use. This research aims to find practical ways to improve independence and safety for people with disabilities living in supported environments.
