ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial, called CHINA-SEP, is studying patients in China who have sepsis, a serious condition where the body has a strong reaction to an infection that can cause organ damage. The study aims to understand how well doctors are following treatment guidelines in real life and how these treatments affect patient recovery in intensive care units (ICUs). By collecting this information from different hospitals, the study hopes to find ways to improve care for people with sepsis across the country.

To take part in this study, patients must be adults (18 years or older) who have recently been diagnosed with sepsis based on specific medical criteria. They need to agree to join the study, or have a family member or legal representative agree for them. People who have had sepsis before, were diagnosed more than two days ago, or are already in another clinical trial cannot join. Participants will have their treatments and health outcomes tracked while in the ICU, helping doctors learn more about the best ways to care for sepsis patients. This study is not yet recruiting, but it will include patients of all genders from various hospitals.
