ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying whether doing simple breathing exercises can help reduce pain and improve recovery after transplant surgery. Patients who take part will be taught how to do these breathing exercises the day before their surgery, and then asked to do them regularly during the first day after surgery. The researchers will check patients’ pain levels at several times during the first 24 hours, and also assess their overall recovery on the first and third days after surgery. The goal is to see if these breathing exercises make a real difference in how patients feel and recover after their transplant.

To join this study, patients need to be between 18 and 65 years old, having their first transplant surgery, and willing to participate. People with certain health problems that could make breathing exercises risky, like heart issues, severe pain, or those needing emergency surgery, won’t be included. If accepted, patients will either do the breathing exercises along with their regular care or receive the usual care without the exercises. Throughout the study, nurses will monitor patient vital signs and pain to keep everyone safe and comfortable. This study is not yet recruiting participants but aims to find a simple, non-drug way to help transplant patients recover better.
