ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether controlling high blood pressure (hypertension) to specific target levels actually helps reduce the risk of death from any cause or from heart-related problems. Even though many people with high blood pressure take medicine or undergo treatments that successfully lower their numbers, some still face serious health risks. This study aims to better understand if reaching those blood pressure goals truly improves survival.
Adults aged 18 and older with diagnosed high blood pressure who have their blood pressure well controlled—usually below 140/90 mmHg or sometimes lower—may be eligible to participate. The study is open to all genders and includes people with other health conditions, except for pregnant women and children. Participants can expect their blood pressure to be carefully monitored to see how well reaching target levels affects long-term health outcomes, especially the chances of dying from heart-related causes or other reasons. This study is currently recruiting, meaning it’s looking for people who fit the criteria to join.
