ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether encouraging patients who have had weight-loss surgery (also called bariatric surgery) to move more after their operation can help them recover better, feel healthier, and avoid complications. The study will test a special program that includes watching a short video about moving after surgery, reminders in their hospital room, and text messages to encourage walking. Researchers will use smartwatches to track how many steps patients take in the first three days after surgery, and they will check how well patients recover and if they experience any problems.
Adults over 18 who speak Turkish, are having planned bariatric surgery, and can use a smartphone and smartwatch may be eligible to join. Participants should be able to move around without help and have no serious health issues that affect walking. During the study, patients will be asked to wear a smartwatch after surgery to monitor their activity, and some will receive extra support to help them move more. This study aims to find out if these simple steps can make recovery faster and safer for people after weight-loss surgery.
