ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into what causes blood pressure to rise during dialysis treatment in patients who are receiving hemodialysis, a process that filters waste from the blood when the kidneys aren’t working well. The study focuses on adults 18 years and older who have been on regular hemodialysis treatments—three times a week, four hours each session—at Sohag University hospitals. The goal is to better understand why some patients experience high blood pressure during their dialysis, which can help improve care and treatment in the future.
If you are 18 or older and have been on consistent hemodialysis for at least three months, you might be eligible to join. However, patients who have recently started dialysis, have serious infections, cancer, or major bleeding are not eligible. Participants in the study will be monitored during their regular dialysis sessions to help researchers identify factors that contribute to these blood pressure changes. This study is currently recruiting patients, and taking part may help doctors find ways to manage and prevent this problem in people undergoing dialysis.
