Counseling Practice Health Professionals In Service Training

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new way to help health professionals in Ethiopia give better nutrition advice to pregnant women. Many pregnant women in Ethiopia don’t get enough healthy food, which can affect their health and their baby’s health. This study will test whether special training that is tailored to local culture can improve how well health workers counsel pregnant women about eating well during pregnancy.

Health professionals who work in clinics that provide care before, during, and after birth are eligible to take part, as long as they are available during the study period. Participants will be divided into two groups: one will receive the special nutrition training over four months, while the other will continue with their usual training. The study will see if the special training helps health workers give better nutrition advice to pregnant women. This research is important because better advice can lead to healthier pregnancies and babies.
