ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is creating a nationwide registry in Germany to better understand how critically ill children are safely moved between hospitals. The goal is to collect information about these specialized transports—when children need to be taken by ambulance or air ambulance to places like intensive care units or emergency treatment areas. This information will help hospitals plan and improve care for children who need urgent medical transport in the future.
Children who are at least 27 days old (and born after a full-term pregnancy) up to 17 years old may be included if they need to be moved from one hospital to another for critical care. The transport must be done by a specially trained team using a fully equipped intensive care ambulance or air ambulance, or be accompanied by a doctor who specializes in emergency or intensive care. If your child is involved in such a transfer, their transport details might be included in the study. Participants won’t undergo any treatments as part of the trial—it’s focused on collecting information to improve care for children needing urgent hospital transfers.
