ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying different ways to treat shoulder pain in volleyball players. Shoulder pain is common in sports that involve a lot of arm movement overhead, like volleyball. The study will compare two types of physiotherapy: one that focuses only on the shoulder and another that looks at the whole body to help improve movement and muscle balance. They will also compare these treatments to just giving education without any physiotherapy.
Volleyball players who have been playing for at least five years and train at least five hours a week may be eligible to join, as long as they have not had previous surgery or fractures in their shoulder or spine. Participants can expect to receive either one of the two physiotherapy treatments or just education about managing shoulder pain, and the study will look at which approach helps the most. This trial hasn’t started recruiting yet, but it aims to find better ways to help volleyball players reduce shoulder pain and improve their game.
