ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to help people who need a kidney transplant find living donors—people willing to donate one of their kidneys while they are still alive. The study is testing a program called KidneyTIME+, which combines digital tools (like videos or online resources) with or without support from a real person (a human guide) to see which approach better helps patients get access to a living kidney donor.
People who may join the study are adults (18 years and older) who have been referred to a specific transplant center to be evaluated for a kidney transplant, speak English, and have not already participated in a similar program. If they join, participants will be randomly assigned to use KidneyTIME+ either with or without a human guide. The study will then look at how these different approaches affect their chances of getting a living donor kidney transplant. The trial is not yet recruiting, and it’s designed to include people of all genders and races. This study could help improve support and resources for patients waiting for a kidney transplant in the future.
