ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at ways to identify a person’s sex (male or female) by measuring the size and shape of hand bones. Researchers want to compare simple body measurements with X-ray images of hand bones to see which method works better for telling males and females apart. This can be helpful in fields like forensic science, where identifying someone from body parts is important.
The study is open to healthy Egyptian adults between 18 and 50 years old, of any sex. To take part, volunteers must have no hand injuries, deformities, surgeries, or abnormalities seen on hand X-rays. Participants can expect to have their hands measured and X-rayed as part of the study. This information will help improve ways to identify sex from hand bones, which may assist in personal identification in the future.
