ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at ways to help children feel less scared or anxious when using an inhaler, which is a common treatment to help with breathing. The study will test two simple activities—a stress ball to squeeze and reading a storybook—to see if these can make inhaler treatments feel less stressful for kids.
Children who are between about 6 and 7 years old (the age range given seems to be an error, but it likely means young children), can communicate well, do not have hearing or vision problems, and come with a parent can take part. Kids with special needs, learning difficulties, or whose parents do not agree to join will not be eligible. If chosen, children will use the stress ball and listen to a story while using their inhaler, and researchers will observe how these activities affect their comfort and anxiety. This study has not started enrolling participants yet but aims to make inhaler treatments easier and less frightening for children.
