ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how aerobic exercise compares to taking phoenix seed supplements in improving antioxidant levels in the body. Antioxidants help protect your cells from damage, and the study will measure specific markers in the blood to see how each approach affects the body’s ability to fight inflammation. The study will include 60 women who are obese, not regularly active, and have signs of ongoing inflammation in their bodies.

Women between the ages of 35 and 55, with a body mass index (BMI) between 30 and 39.9, and who have some symptoms of inflammation may be eligible to join. Participants should not have any health issues that make walking or exercising difficult, such as certain heart or bone problems. During the study, everyone will follow specific instructions and be tested under the same conditions to ensure fair comparisons. This study is not yet recruiting participants but aims to help us understand whether exercise or phoenix seed supplements might better support health in obese women experiencing inflammation.
