ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is comparing two different types of tissue used in surgery to fix a long blockage in the tube that carries urine out of the body (called the urethra). One option uses skin from the penis, and the other uses a graft taken from the inside of the cheek. The goal is to see which method works better for patients with long narrowings (called strictures) in the front part of the urethra.
Men who have a urethral narrowing longer than 1 cm and have tried other treatments like stretching or minor surgery without success may be eligible to join. However, men with certain skin conditions, previous surgeries on the urethra, or past failed repairs are not included. If you participate, you will undergo surgery using one of these two graft types, and the doctors will then monitor your recovery and how well the surgery opens the urethra. This study is currently looking for patients to join and aims to help find the best surgical option for this condition.
