ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is testing a new mobile app called FoodTraining that aims to help people improve their control over eating, especially when it comes to food cravings. It is designed for adults who have obesity, binge-eating disorder, or bulimia nervosa, and who are already receiving regular treatment like therapy, medication, or dietary support. The study will see if adding this app to their usual care can make a difference in how well they manage their eating habits over a period of four weeks.
To take part, you need to be an adult with a body mass index (BMI) over 30 or have a diagnosis of binge-eating disorder or bulimia nervosa. You also need to speak Italian or English and have access to a smartphone or tablet. During the study, participants will use the app, fill out questionnaires about their eating habits, mood, and quality of life, and wear small sensors that monitor blood sugar levels for about two weeks. They will also complete simple tasks related to food choices at the start, middle, and end of the study. This trial is still not recruiting yet but offers a promising way to support people struggling with eating or weight concerns by combining technology with their current treatment.
