ClinConnect Summary
This study is looking at a new way to help people in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, get better access to fresh, healthy food. Researchers are testing a special food pantry program where participants can choose from locally grown fruits and vegetables at no cost. The goal is to see if this approach can improve diet quality and make it easier for people to get nutritious food in the community.
To join the study, you need to be an adult (18 years or older), able to complete surveys in English or Haitian Creole, and willing to travel each week to the Brooklyn Center for Quality Life in East Flatbush to pick up the fresh produce. Participants will be asked to provide consent, which means agreeing to take part after understanding what the study involves. This program is open to all genders, and the researchers want to learn how well this client-choice pantry works in supporting better food access for the community.
