ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is comparing two types of catheters—tools used to treat abnormal heart rhythms—during a procedure called cavotricuspid isthmus (CTI) ablation. This procedure uses heat to create small scars in the heart tissue to stop irregular heartbeats. The study aims to find out which catheter, a standard irrigated-tip or a newer lattice-tip, is safer and works better by looking at how long the procedure takes, how many times the heat is applied, and whether there are any complications.

Adults over 18 years old who need this type of heart procedure and have not had previous ablations in the right side of their heart may be eligible to join. Participants can expect the usual CTI ablation procedure but with one of the two different catheters being tested. The study is currently recruiting and includes both men and women. This research could help doctors choose the best tools for treating certain heart rhythm problems more safely and effectively.
